When I purchased my first camera, the Canon T3i, no subject was safe: our family dog, home life, and myself through mirror selfies. So when I landed a job as a Sports Photographer, I was excited to know that this hobby could become my career. A few months later, I was hired as a product photographer and content creator at The Evoke Agency where I shot product and lifestyle content for leading brands in the Salon industry such as Wella Professionals. It was then that I made the switch from Canon to Sony.

I had much encouragement to experiment and try new techniques and learned a lot about composition and lighting, this was also the time I learned about stop motion. When I moved to Portland, a new exciting challenge presented itself at Heart Creative Agency: photographing food. Because food loses finesse over time, I learned to be quick and confident in my photographic choices to bring out the best results! At Heart, I was again encouraged to experiment and continuously pitch new ideas to the team.

Throughout my career, it’s no surprise that photography has stayed with me in my freelance and business journey as well. Always expanding and always growing.
